Who lives in Zamindarbari?

There are small holes inside the building. Dangers only when walking carelessly.

Mahfuz, another university student in the area, said, “One day we were playing cricket on the land next to the landlord. One killed six. The ball entered the house. জমিদারবাড়িতে কে থাকে?
অনেক বছরের পুরনো দালান। জমিদারবাড়ি বলে সবাই। খসে পড়েছে দেয়ালের ইট। পাশ দিয়ে আসা-যাওয়ার পথে ঘটত নানা ভূতুড়ে ঘটনা। নড়াইলের কালিয়ার একটি পুরনো জমিদারবাড়ির কয়েকটি ঘটনা জড়ো করেছেন জুবায়ের আহম্মেদ
দালানটির ভেতর ছোট ছোট গর্ত। অসাবধানে হাঁটলেই বিপদ।
বাড়িটির আশপাশে ঝোপঝাড়। দালানটির অনেক অংশও ঝোপঝাড়ে ভরে গেছে। দিনের বেলায়ও কেউ এদিকটা খুব একটা মাড়ায় না।
একদিন এলাকার কলেজছাত্র আরাফাত পাশ দিয়েই হেঁটে যাচ্ছিল। তখন রাত ৮টা। রাস্তায় লোকজনও নেই খুব একটা। হঠাত্ আরাফাত বলে, কে যেন ডাক দিয়েছে মনে হলো।
‘আমার নাম ধরে ডাকতে শুনে বাড়িটিতে ঢুকি। তারপর আবার ডাক শুনতে পেলাম।
মনে হলো, দালানটি থেকে আসছে। হাতে টর্চও ছিল না। মোবাইলের ফ্ল্যাশলাইট জ্বেলে ভেতরে দেখি সাদা কাপড় পরে এক বুড়ি বসে আছে। বুড়ি এখানে কী করছে? এটা ভাবতে থাকি। এদিকে ভয়ে গা-ও কাঁপছে। বুড়ি আমাকে বলল, এখান থেকে আমাকে মুক্ত করে নিয়ে যাও। কে আপনি? বলল, জমিদার আমাকে বন্দি করে রেখেছে। তখন বুঝতে পারলাম, আমার সঙ্গে প্যারানরমাল কিছু ঘটছে। দৌড়ে বাইরে চলে আসি।
তারপর আমার বন্ধু রাকিব, আকাশকে কল দিই। তারা আশপাশেই ছিল। দ্রুত সবাই বাড়িটির কাছে চলে আসে। তিনজন মিলে ঢুকি। কিন্তু পুরো ভবন তন্নতন্ন করে খুঁজেও বুড়ির দেখা পেলাম না। বন্ধুরা বলল, তোর চোখের ভুল। এখানে কোনো বুড়িটুড়ি নেই। অদ্ভুত ব্যাপারটা আমার বেলায়ই ঘটল! যখন বের হয়ে এলাম, তখন একে একে তিনজনের নাম ধরেই কে যেন ডাক দিল। তবে আর ভেতরে যাওয়ার সাহস পাইনি। এরপর অবশ্য অনেকবার বাড়িটির ভেতর ঢুকেছি। কাউকে দেখিনি। ’
এলাকার ষাটোর্ধ্ব বারেক মিয়া শোনালেন আরেক ঘটনা, ‘ছোটবেলা থেকেই কৃষিকাজে যুক্ত ছিলাম। জমিদারবাড়িটির পাশে একটি জমিতে তখন আখের চাষ করেছিলাম। যখন ফলন এলো, একদিন খেয়াল করলাম একটু জায়গা ফাঁকা। আখগাছ নেই। ভাবলাম, চোরে নিয়েছে। রাতে পাহারা বসাতে হবে। কিছু আখ দুমড়ে-মুচড়ে ছিল। চোরে নিলে এভাবে দুমড়ে-মুচড়ে থাকার কথা না অবশ্য।
পরদিন রাতে ঘাপটি মেরে বসলাম। রাত ১১টা। চোরের দেখা নেই। আমার সঙ্গে করিম মিয়াও ছিল। বললাম, করিম মিয়া, চলেন বাড়ি চলে যাই। করিম মিয়া বললেন, আরেকটু অপেক্ষা করি। তখন প্রায় ১২টা। হঠাত্ দেখি, জমিদারবাড়ি থেকে চার-পাঁচজন লোক দ্রুত আখের ক্ষেতের দিকে যাচ্ছে।
তাদের পোশাক কালো। আমরাও পেছনে দৌড় দিই। কিন্তু অবাক করা ব্যাপার, তারা আখক্ষেতে ঢুকেই মিলিয়ে গেল। টর্চ দিয়ে পুরো ক্ষেত ঘুরেও কাউকে পেলাম না। তবে ক্ষেতের মাঝের একটি অংশে দেখি আখ নেই। তারপর বুঝলাম, ওরা সাধারণ চোর ছিল না। ’
এলাকার আরেক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়পড়ুয়া মাহফুজ বললেন, ‘একদিন আমরা জমিদারবাড়িটির পাশের জমিতে ক্রিকেট খেলছিলাম। একজন মারল ছয়। বল ঢুকে পড়ল ওই বাড়ির ভেতর। আমি আর ফয়সাল গেলাম বল আনতে। একা যেতে ভয় লাগছিল বলেই সঙ্গে আরেকজনকে নেওয়া। আগেই শুনেছিলাম, ওখানে ভূত দেখেছে নাকি অনেকে। বাড়িটির ভেতর গিয়ে দেখি, বলটা একটা ঝোপের ভেতর। ফয়সাল গিয়ে বলটি নিয়ে আসে। বের হয়ে আসার সময় দেখি এক বৃদ্ধা। আমাদের ইশারা করে ডাক দিলেন। আমরা অবাক। উনি আবার কখন এলেন। মুখটাও পরিচিত নয়। আমাদের বললেন, দরজাটি একটু খুলে দাও। অথচ জীর্ণ এ ভবনের ঘরের সব দরজাই তো খোলা। বলতে বলতে বৃদ্ধা ঢুকে পড়ল ভেতরে। আমরাও দালানটির ভেতর ঢুকলাম। কাউকে দেখতে পেলাম না। ’
